Obituary

streets of glory let me lift my voice - cares all past, home at last, ever to rejoice.”
Ms. Katie Lee Baker entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Elizabeth City Health and
Rehabilitation Center, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Katie was born in Perquimans County to the
late Andrew Baker and the late Roberta Axum Baker. She was also pre-deceased in death by her
brother Oscar Baker.
Memorial Service will be Saturday, July 2, 2022 – 11:30 a.m. at Beach River Funeral Home Chapel,
Elizabeth City, North Carolina with Rev. Kevin McDonald, Presiding. Masks are still required for all
services.
Katie leaves to cherish her memories: two brothers, Tommy Baker, Sr. (Hattie) of Norfolk, Virginia
and Joseph Baker, Sr. (Shirley) of Charlotte, North Carolina; two sisters, Ollie Baker, of Elizabeth
City, North Carolina and Naomi Baker-Wilson, (Hazel Lee) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and a
host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
