Josephine Ferebee daughter of the late Willis and Josephine McPherson Ferebee entered eternal rest on February 5, 2021 at Chesapeake Regional Hospital, Chesapeake Virginia.
Celebration of Life Services will be Saturday, February 13 at 12 noon at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 506 York Street, Elizabeth City, North Carolina (service will be live-streamed). A public walk-through viewing will be on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 5 – 7 p.m. at Beach Rivers Funeral Home Chapel, 310 E. Grice Street, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. We will be adhering to all COVID-19 restrictions. Mask are required for all services.
Josephine leaves to cherish her memories two daughters: Shelva Banks (Rev. Dr. Ricky), Elizabeth City, North Carolina and Rosalyn Shelton (Kennedy), Charlotte, North Carolina; four granddaughters: Lucretia and Leah Banks, Elizabeth City, North Carolina, and Tenesha and Mia Shelton, Charlotte, North Carolina; Four sisters: Vernell Eason and Beatrice Ferebee, South Mills, North Carolina, Ethel Cox (Tommy), Virginia Beach, Virginia and Joyce Ferebee, South Mills, North Carolina; three brothers: Willis Ferebee, Jr., Chesapeake, Virginia, Floyd Ferebee (Cynthia ), Durham, North Carolina and Lewis Ferebee; South Mills, North Carolina one sister-in-law, Charlotte Ferebee of Durham, N.C., and several nieces, nephews, relatives and lifelong friends.
