Donald Pernell Butts of Elizabeth City, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 21, 2019.

Celebration of Life service will take place on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at The Mount in Elizabeth City, North Carolina at 11am.Viewing will be held Monday from 4-7pm with the family receiving friends from 5:30-7pm at the funeral home. At other times the family will receive friends  at his daughter's residence Min. Tara and Johnnie Alexander's residence, 118 Climbing Vine Run, Elizabeth City, NC.

Donald is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Butts. He was the son of the late Martin Butts Sr.and Rosa Hill

Donald leaves to cherish his memories: children, Donald A. Butts ( Angela), Minister Tara Alexander ( Johnnie), Tanesia A. Butts, Armesha N. Butts, Asiona N. Butts, all of Elizabeth City North Carolina; siblings, Maxine Riddick (Theodore) of Atlanta, Georgia, Mary Griffin of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Martin Butts, Jr. (Vergener),of Norfolk Virginia, Rev. Levery Butts (Linda) of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Charles Butts (Marion) of Clarksville, Tennessee, Mikel Butts (Loretta) of Durham, North Carolina, Roy Moore Jr. ( Veranika) , Rosemary McPherson (Zebedeel), Lennie Moore all Elizabeth City, North Carolina, a special friend and fiancé, Janet Robertson,brother -in- law Robert Covington both Elizabeth City, North Carolina, special aunt and uncle Beatrice Hill, Rev. Junious Johnson (Carolyn) both of Elizabeth City, nine grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
