Christa Rohrbach Mullen, Elizabeth City, NC entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. Christa was born in Gotha Germany and raised near Frankfurt. Her life's journey in her early years was difficult, but that all changed when she married the love of her life, her best friend, lifelong companion and husband, Leroy Mullen.
Christa was a loving, devoted and dedicated mother. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. As a wife, she followed her husband around the world. Make no mistake, her love for her family had no boundaries. She made friends wherever she went, she never met a stranger. Christa was known for her incredible cooking, punctuality, and caring ways. She was the loving and devoted mother of Gerhard (Fred) Mullen, Reinhold Rohrbach (Who left us too soon), Markus Mullen, Terrance Mullen and Sandra Draeger.
She touched the lives of so many people, and in each touch, left a spark of joy and fond memories. She was loved by so many, but none will compare to the love of her beloved husband, Leroy. Her soul has always belonged to Leroy, and there it shall stay until the end of time. She would want him to continue on living a life of joy, cherish the moments and create new ones with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and to continue to guide them through life and teach them the value of love. She lived a life of no regrets and will live forever within our hearts and minds.
Celebration of life service will take place on Monday, March 30, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Beach Rivers Funeral Home. Viewing will take place on Sunday from 2-4 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mullen leaves to cherish her memories; husband, Leroy Mullen; daughter, Sandra Draeger (Scott); three sons, Fred Mullen, Markus Mullen and Terrance Mullen; sister, Edith Gumpert; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
