Ashley Renee Jones

Ashley Renee Jones entered eternal rest on January 30, 2024, at Sentara Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City, North Carolina.  She was the daughter of Dorinda Jones, Elizabeth City, North Carolina, and Russell Antonucci (Wendy), Jacksonville, Florida. She was predeceased by her grandfather, Marion (PawPaw) Jones, who she truly missed every day.

In addition to her parents, she leaves to cherish her memory a spouse of almost twenty years, Anthony Dale Jones, Jr. and two precious daughters, Jaiden Paige Jones (15) and Adalyn Riley Jones (7) all of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; two sisters, Rebecca Layden Bateman (McKinley), Hertford, North Carolina and Teresa Antonucci, Jacksonville, Florida; two brothers, James Layden (Alexis Smith), Weeksville, North Carolina and Carmen Antonucci, Jacksonville, Florida; eight nieces, Kaylynn Long, Gracie Layden, Lylah Bateman, Bailey Bateman, Elizabeth Hamilton, Violet Hamilton, Scarlett Antonucci, and Makalia Antonucci; one special little nephew, Waylon Layden; one aunt, Teresa Chesson (David) and a cousin Rachel Chesson all of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, and her maternal grandmother, Gladys (Nanny) Jones, Elizabeth City, North Carolina.

Ashley was a caring and loving person who would do anything for you, no matter what time of day or night; she would be there – no questions at all. She had a kind heart, a wonderful personality and was always the life of the party.  She had a smile and a laugh that could light up the room.

The family will receive friends and family at the home of her mother at 1400 Walkers Ave, Apt 31, Elizabeth City, North Carolina.  A small service will be held at Fountain of Life Church at a later date.
