Ms. Vonda Kay Whidbee formerly of Elizabeth City, North Carolina entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina. She was the youngest of four children born to the late Irvin Richard Whidbee and Mrs. Georgie Parker Whidbee of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. In addition to her father, she was predeceased in death by two brothers, Eric D. Whidbee and Lester K. Brown; four uncles, Harvey, Sr., Ernest, William, and Earl Parker; and her beloved grandmother, Carrie Parker.
Celebration of Life Service will be Sunday, February 11, 2024, 2:00 PM at Beach River Funeral Home Chapel, Elizabeth City, North Carolina with Rev. Dr. Ricky L. Banks as Eulogist. Interment will be in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. A viewing/visitation will be 1 hour prior to the start of service at the funeral home.
Sorrowfully mourning her loss is her mother Georgie Whidbee, and step father William Whidbee, Elizabeth City,North Carolina; three daughters, Shannon Whidbee, Kandes Whidbee (Tyrell) and Jaleesa Wilson of Durham, NC; two sons, Bryan Whidbee and Richard Whidbee both of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; two brothers, Danny Whidbee, Sr and Lonnie Parker, Sr. of Triangle, Va; one sister Lori Whidbee of Zebulon, NC; four grandchildren Christian, Lauren, Kari and Ian; her partner of 16 years David Miller of Beulaville, NC; three nephews of Philadelphia, PA and many cousins and friends.
